Journals

Supplies: a journal, pen or markers, (Optional glue sticks, stickers)

It is a good idea for all people (boys, girls, children, and adults) to keep journals. Journals are a great way to record what happens in your life, what you dreamed the night before, or what you’d like to do in the future. Many people use journals to list things that they are thankful for.

Journals come in different sizes. Some people like pocket size ones, but I like a big one with spiral rings. The rings make it easier to add things like movie tickets, emails, or pictures. You can even use a 3-ring binder with notebook paper or a spiral notebook as your journal. You can glue pictures of things you like on the cover. It is your journal, so create it however you want. Use pens, markers, stickers, photos, postcards, or anything else you want in your journal.

Journals are usually meant for your eyes only. It is up to you if you choose to share your journals.

Probably the most famous journals of all time are the journals of Leonardo da Vinci. He drew pictures and wrote backwards in his journals. Here is a sample of da Vinci’s journal:
